Crooked River State Park is a Georgia state park encompassing 500 acres on the Crooked River near Saint Mary’s Georgia, The park has many amenities including Camping, hiking, kayaking and a nature center displaying native wildlife from this beautiful area.
The park has and array of fee based campsites and cabins, it is recommended that you make reservations if you are looking to utilize these services by calling 800-864-7275.
The park is dedicated to the preservation of its natural resources and public education. The park is near the ruins of the McIntosh Sugarworks, built around 1825 and used as a starch factory during the American Civil War. It is the closest state park to Cumberland Island National Seashore and it is adjacent to the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
